HOW TO GET OR RENEW A PASSPORT
FOR
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL

All persons must have their own passports, including infants.

FOR A NEW PASSPORT

See the U. S. Department of State for the nearest location of a Passport Agency that can accommodate you with an appointment within the 2-week timeframe.

Passport acceptance facility
Acceptance facilities include many Federal, state and probate courts, post offices, some public libraries and a number of county and municipal offices. There are also 13 regional passport agencies, and 1 Gateway City Agency, which serve customers who are traveling within 2 weeks (14 days), or who need foreign visas for travel. Appointments are required in such cases.

What is Needed

2 identical photographs of yourself 2” X 2” (last 6 months)
Proof of U. S. citizenship
Valid form of photo identification (Drivers License)

You’ll need to apply in person if you are applying for a U.S. passport for the first time: if your expired U.S. passport is not in your possession; if your previous U.S. passport has expired and was issued more than 15 years ago; if your previous U.S. passport was issued when you were under age 16; or if your currently valid U.S. passport has been lost or stolen. For all Minors under age 14

Each minor child shall appear in person.
All applications for children under 14 require either parents’ or legal guardians’ consent.

For all Minors ages 14 to 17

Each minor child shall appear in person.
For security reason, parental consent may be requested.
If your child does not have identification of his/her own, you will need to accompany your child and present identification.

To Renew the passport
It must have been issued when you were 16 years or older.
It was issued within the last 15 years.
It is not damaged.
Must be submitted with your application

Age 16 and older:
Application fee $67. Execution fee $30. Total $97.00

Under Age 16:
Application fee $52. Execution fee $30. Total $82.00

Renewal
Application fee $67

Expedited Service

Add $60 for each application.


The passport application fee includes a $12.00 Security Surcharge
